Home Temple Bishops

The Home Temple Synod is comprised of Independent Bishops who, together with our Priests and Priestesses, faithfully serve through a variety of home-based ministries and local communities throughout the world. Priests and Priestesses of the Home Temple are ordained by, or received through Letters Dimissory from, one of our Bishops according to their geographical location, and remain under the pastoral guidance and spiritual oversight of that Bishop within the Home Temple Synod.

The Home Temple Board of Directors convenes annually, either in person or through secure telecommunication, typically during late June or early July. During this Annual Convention, the Board conducts its official business, reviews the life and mission of the Home Temple, and considers nominations for elevation to the Episcopate (the Office of Bishop). Candidates are prayerfully evaluated on the basis of their spiritual maturity, service, leadership, and commitment to the work of the Order before being elected to this sacred office.

As the Home Temple Group continues to expand internationally, we are actively forming and mentoring the next generation of clergy. At present, candidates are undertaking episcopal formation in the United States, the Philippines, Australia, Africa, and Europe, reflecting the continued growth of the Home Temple and its commitment to establishing a faithful and spiritually grounded episcopal presence across the world.

The first row of bishops shown below represents the most recent additions to the Home Temple Episcopate, reflecting the continued growth of the Home Temple Group in Australia, Europe, and South Africa. These bishops have been called, formed, and consecrated to serve the expanding international mission of the Home Temple and its associated ministries.

The wider Home Temple Episcopate also includes bishops who were raised to this sacred office by the Most Reverend Dr Lewis Keizer during his tenure as Presiding Bishop. Their ministries have represented the Home Temple across the United States, United Kingdon, Australia, Thailand, and Europe, contributing significantly to the preservation and transmission of the Home Temple tradition.

We also honour the memory of several of our esteemed companions who have since passed into the Greater Light. Their faithful service, spiritual leadership, and enduring legacy continue to inspire the Home Temple community. These beloved bishops represented the Home Temple or were affiliated to the Hometemple in the United Kingdom, California (USA), and Australia, and remain remembered with gratitude and affection for their dedication to the Work.

In keeping with longstanding Home Temple tradition, this page features only those members of the clergy who have been consecrated to the Episcopate. Our Priests and Priestesses continue their important ministries throughout the world, faithfully serving the Divine, supporting their communities, and advancing the mission of the Home Temple Group through their dedication and commitment.
